I just heard about the earthquake in Haiti. It is too bad to hear it hit the poorest of nations. Similar things happened before in Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia. But it also happened to the people in the USA, not to mention the hurricane Katrina a few years ago which wiped out the Southern States. Then the fires in California. But Haiti is a different story. No matter how people will judge their nation, the fact is that real people suffer there right now and they need help. There is no discrimination when it comes to the powers of nature, we are not the true masters here.
This is my last entry pertaining to my December trip to Mexico, which I called the couch surfing experiment. I am going to re-design my blog to separate this period from my current posts in the new chapter of my travels. I am going through difficult times now in Canada, basically starting everything over. This time my goal is to get ready for the next departure, so my motto will be different. The past two years have changed my life in many ways. I found a lot about myself and my relation to the world, what is important to me and what I want to do. Going traveling was the best decision I could have done.
My life has always been about freedom and I shall continue to walk this path.
