PART 3: Back on the road - South East Asia.
Route Map Trang, Thailand » September 29, 2010 Trang is not a huge city. It is pleasant, but at the same time not that much to see. I haven't been extensively moving around town, but I walked around the center and I haven't seen anything that would catch my eye. Trang is a starting point to explore the coast and the islands, but it's not exactly cheap and I am cash strapped. I will do it another time. Photo: Trang, Thailand. There is a clock at the what seems to be the central intersection. The train station is a few hundred meters down this road. Photo: Trang, Thailand. This is the same street I photographed yesterday at night after arrival. Photo: Trang, Thailand. As always in Thailand, lots of scooters, motorcycles and tuk-tuk's. Photo: Trang, Thailand. The train station in the background. Photo: Trang, Thailand. Street fruit vendor. Photo: Trang, Thailand. Strolling down the streets of Trang... Photo: Trang, Thailand. For some reason I have seen many roast pork vendors in Trang. Tried some - tasty :) Photo: Trang, Thailand. Helmet, no helmet, two, three, or four people on a scooter - it's all a go in Thailand. Photo: Trang, Thailand. One really neat thing that I saw in Trang were movie posters in front of a movie theater. In this digital age, they were hand painted! Just like in the old times. Very refreshing. I left Trang around noon. I read good things about temples in Nakhon Si Thammarat, so I am going to see this town. It's on the East Coast. I have to go to Thun Song, and catch a bus to Nakhon Si Thammarat from there. Photo: Trang, Thailand. Already on the bus leaving Trang. A shot through the open door - different colors of Buddhist altars for sale. Photo: Trang, Thailand. This little girl kept looking at me. Photo: Trang, Thailand. Then hero mother moved to the back where I was sitting. Her bags were here and she was going to get off though the back door. So the girl had a chance to look closer at the strange farang, ha ha Very cute, big brown eyes. I hope she will have a good life. My life has always been about freedom and I shall continue to walk this path. Safe travels ! ........... Stan Check out my Photography Portfolio |
