Finally on the boat. It's 7:04 am. I am really excited for what is supposed to be one of the most rewarding river trips around! I cost me $18 and should take about eight hours.
Photo: Boat trip: Battambang to Siem Reap, Cambodia → I am sitting next to the engine, but with ear plugs is not a problem at all. I have my place right by the rail, so it's good for watching the scenery and picture taking.
Photo: Boat trip: Battambang to Siem Reap, Cambodia → Soon we are passing some houses and boats. It's early in the morning and I guess not everybody is up, so the area seems a bit deserted.

Photo: Boat trip: Battambang to Siem Reap, Cambodia → I think people live on these boats. Boats like this have stoves, pots, pants, drying laundry hanging around, and everything else a basic place to live needs. Of course I am taking about poor peoples boats, not luxury yachts.
