Another fine sunny day and I am doing something exciting today - a snorkeling trip. It cost 650 Baht. The boat goes arond the island to a few good snorkeling spots. There is the Mango Bay and the Shark Bay. I will go around the island, so it's a good chance to see how it looks from the different sides and get the feel for it.

Photo: Koh Tao, Thailand. There are rocks around the island, and that's where many hotels with bungalows are attarctively located. Some might be pricey, but many will be in the 400 Baht range.

Photo: Koh Tao, Thailand. Boats with divers. This is the Shark Bay (or Shark Point). We went snorkeling here. The bottom looks pretty flat and lots of bleached coral, so not very attractive. But I saw a black-tipped shark, about 2 meters long. It was a grat experience to swim with a shark. They are magnificent creatures.
