It was good to see my childhood friend again. So many stories! Endless crazy times from the elementary school in Poland, some similarities in our lives afterwards. The best part was the funny stuff and so much laughter. I've been to Old Bridge a couple times before, but just for a couple days each time when flying to or from New York. I was going to fly directly from Montreal, but he mentioned his birthday bash in November, so I decided to joing him for this big celebration. I was really looking forward to us meeting. Two weeks this time - me casa su casa.
 
Saturday and Sunday a river trip and camping. Just a few photos from this adventure, which I would call 'boozing and floating'. And that's what it basically was for me. After working all summer, it felt really great to just let it go, don't think about anything except just that - boozing and floating. There was some neat scenery along the way, but honestly, after being on a few quite spectacular river trips around the world, it was not very special nature wise. Still, being on the water and see the passing by trees, a couple of small rapids, made it a good pleasant contrast for from the orchards of endless apple trees.

The next day we packed everything and paddled back. One of the guys had an inflatable little dingy with an outboard motor, so we got pulled most of the way. It started to rain a little at first, but it stopped soon. Very lucky! It would had been hell spending a few hours on the river in the rain, totaly soaked.
 
I've heard of the hurricane Sandy coming this way tomorrow. Let's see what happens.
